Large Scale Composting Services

RIRRC operates a large scale commercial compost site at the Central Landfill. RIRRC processes nearly 45,000 tons of leaf and yard debris each year. We turn this material into a "Class A” Rhode Island compost. Some of the compost is used onsite for operational purposes, some is sold to RI residents for home use, and the rest is marketed through a wholesaler. We only accept leaf and yard debris at this time.
