Corporate Structure
The powers of RIRRC are vested in a Board of Commissioners. The Board of eight commissioners consists of the Director of the Rhode Island Department of Administration (or his/her designee), who shall serve as a nonvoting ex officio member, and seven public members appointed by the Governor with advice and consent of the Senate. At least two commissioners must be residents of the town of Johnston, Rhode Island.
The commissioners employ an Executive Director to administer, to manage, and direct the offices and business of RIRRC subject to the policies, control, and direction of the commissioners. The Executive Director reports to and is accountable directly to the Board, pursuant to RIRRC's by-laws.
