Resource Recovery Appoints New Leadership

JOHNSTON, RI—After an extensive six-month search, Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation (Resource Recovery) today announced the selection of Joseph Reposa as its new Executive Director. Reposa succeeds Mike OConnell, who after ten years of service, will retire later this month. "We are extremely excited to have Joseph as our new Executive Director,” remarked Michael F. Sabitoni, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for Resource Recovery. “His significant industry experience and proven track record make him the ideal choice to lead our dynamic organization. The event will be held from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at Cardi's Furniture and Mattresses located at 1681 Quaker Ln in West Warwick. Please limit your documents to be shredded to one copier paper-sized box. Shredding: Lincoln (AG Office)

Lincoln Senior Center, 50 Jenckes Hill Road, Lincoln Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin is teaming up with Infoshred to offer free shredding services on Thursday, June 15th, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Lincoln Senior Center, located at 150 Jenckes Hill Road in Lincoln, RI. The shredding service is free and open to the public. All consumers are invited to drop off up to two boxes or two paper shopping bags of documents for shredding, and are encouraged to donate a non-perishable food item for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.

Resource Recovery Removes Shredded Paper from Mixed Recycling Program

JOHNSTON, RI—To combat rising levels of contamination, Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation (Resource Recovery) today announced shredded paper will no longer be accepted in Rhode Island’s mixed recycling program. While shredded paper is being discontinued curbside, Resource Recovery will continue to accept shredded paper, secured in a bag, at their self-serve Small Vehicle Area (SVA) located at 65 Shun Pike in Johnston. In addition to the drop-off container, Rhode Island residents can attend shredding events, compost shreds in backyard compost bins, or dispose of them in the regular trash
