Fiber that may be too small for mixed recycling see related

Recycle in Your Bin or Cart:
If at least 3" x 5" (picture a small index card)

If smaller than 3" x 5" (picture a small index card), please dispose of this item in your regular trash. Though these are made of recyclable paper, they are too small to be accurately captured and recycled through our current sorting process. It is best to place paper pieces that are smaller than a 3” x 5” index card in the trash.

This item follows the basic rule for fiber recycling in your bin/cart (it’s paper, cardboard, or a carton). Paper and cardboard must be flat. Cartons must be empty at a minimum, but rinsed whenever possible. Plastic caps (on cartons) can go back onto their plastic spouts.
