PaintCare invites Rhode Island households and businesses to attend a paint drop off event on Saturday, May 4 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Pier Middle School located at 235 South Pier Road in Narragansett. Only Rhode Island households and businesses may participate in this event. For households, there are no limits on the amount of house paint, stain or varnish dropped off. The Town of Narragansett invites residents to the Gansett Days Recycling Event on September 18 from 9 AM to 12 PM. The event will be held in the North Lot of Narragansett Town Beach. Materials accepted include: paper for shredding (three box limit), electronics (computers, printers, monitors, TVs, anything with a plug), Freon appliances ($10/unit), clothing, textiles, and scrap metal (see Narragansett Recycling Website for more information).
