Resource Recovery to Host Eco-Depot Collection in Providence on July 20

JOHNSTON, R.I. – Protect your home and help to create a safer Rhode Island for all residents by attending the upcoming Eco-Depot collection – hosted by Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation (Resource Recovery) – on Saturday, July 20 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Providence Department of Public Works located at 700 Allens Ave. in Providence. This Eco-Depot is available free of charge to Rhode Island residents only, and to help reduce time spent in line, appointments should be made in advance.

National Grid to Host Dehumidifier Turn-In Event at Resource Recovery on June 8

JOHNSTON, RI – Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation (Resource Recovery) and National Gird invite Rhode Island residents to recycle old, functional dehumidifiers on Saturday, June 8 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Resource Recovery located at 65 Shun Pike in Johnston. This special event is available to National Grid customers only and coincides with Resource Recovery’s Eco-Depot collection. To help reduce time spent in line, appointments should be made in advance for household hazardous waste. Appointments are not required for the dehumidifier turn-in event.

Cyclist to Launch Statewide Bike Trek to Raise Awareness for Proper Recycling

JOHNSTON, RI – On September 23rd, Let’s recycle RIght!, RI Resource Recovery’s award-winning public education campaign will conclude exactly the way it commenced, with a call for proper recycling. Leading the charge is Maggie Sheerin, an amazing young Rhode Islander and avid cyclist, set to journey across the state on her 7-day “RIde to Recycle RIght.” Along the way, Sheerin will visit businesses, institutions and municipal locations that have joined Resource Recovery’s commitment to decreasing confusion at the recycling bin. As one campaign wraps, another adventure begins!
