 Appliances (large/white goods): Drop off at the DPW Yard.

 Appliances (w/ Freon): Drop off at the DPW Yard in the e-waste container. 

 Books and Media: Drop off at the DPW Yard into the Bay State Books bin, including books and commercially recorded media such as CDs, DVDs, records and books on CD.

 Bulky Waste: Free pickup curbside. Call Rambone Disposal at 401-946-1360 to schedule a pickup. NOTE: No construction material of any kind is picked up curbside and homeowners are responsible for calling a private hauler for a dumpster.

 Carpeting/Rugs: Free pickup curbside. Call Rambone Disposal at 401-946-1360 to schedule a pickup. Carpet must be rolled and tied.

 Clothing/Textiles: Drop off at the DPW Yard into the donation box.

 Cooking Oil: Drop off at the DPW Yard. Container must be labeled with your name and phone number.

 E-waste: Drop off at the DPW Yard. Accepts: TVs, CRT Monitors, CPUs and all other items such as printers, cartridges, wire and cables, UPSs, VHS/DVD players and more.

 Furniture: Free pickup curbside. Call Rambone Disposal at 401-946-1360 to schedule a pickup.

 Leaf & Yard Waste: No local collection. Residents are encouraged to compost their leaf and yard waste on their property. 

 Mattresses & Box Springs: Drop off at the DPW Yard by stopping in at the Department of Public Works office first. Proof of Rhode Island residence is required with a valid government ID. No mattress may be dropped off without DPW supervision and inspection. Mattresses deemed to be recyclable will be accepted free of charge. If a mattress is deemed non-recyclable because it's severely damaged, twisted, wet, frozen, heavily soiled, biologically contaminated or appears to contain bed bugs, it will be rejected mattress and will be charged at a rate of $50. Before any mattress deemed rejected/unrecoverable (per program criteria) will be accepted by DPW, the individual delivering the mattress must pay the $50.00 fee to Town Hall and produce a receipt at the DPW drop off point.

 Motor Oil: Drop off at the DPW Yard. The container must be labeled with your name and phone number.

 Paper for Shredding: Free paper shredding at periodic town events, typically held in April, call DPW for updates.

 Scrap Metal: Drop off at the DPW Yard.
