Resource Recovery Announces Dates for 2018 Community Shred Days
Rhode Island Resource Recovery (Resource Recovery) will once again hold a series of free shredding events to provide residents with more opportunities to properly recycle intact sensitive documents. R.I. residents who want to recycle their sensitive documents can bring them to Shred RI at the Plainfield Pike Flea Market Parking Lot on the following days:
May 12, 2018, 8 AM-12 PM
July 7, 2018, 8 AM-12 PM
September 15, 2018, 8 AM-12 PM
November 3, 2018, 8 AM-12 PM
Only personal documents generated in R.I. homes will be accepted; no documents from businesses, even home-based businesses, will be accepted.
As a reminder, a sensitive or confidential document is one that contains a unique, identifying number that can be traced directly to a specific person, and which cannot be found readily through public searches. For example, a person’s name and address is not considered sensitive, confidential information. Junk mail can be recycled whole.
